Austria as a life sciences hub has grown to maturity: as a location, it has achieved the necessary critical mass, and can be competitively marketed internationally. An umbrella brand for marketing Austrian life sciences externally has been created and launched in October 2007: Life Science Austria, or LISA for short. The aim is to intensify international cooperation and raise awareness among international enterprises and investors of Austria as a location.
Marketing Austria as a life sciences location and making its scientific and business success stories more widely known gives the Austrian life sciences environment a higher profile, and contributes to Austria’s positioning in international markets.
“LISA international marketing” focuses on the presentation of young Austrian life science companies and research institutions on the international market by appearance at tradeshows and fairs, was well as on public relations.
